Salt Lake City's Imagination Celebration History
In Fall 2000, the Kennedy Center selected Salt Lake City as its sixth Imagination Celebration site because of the city's commitment to arts education and its ability to create community-wide partnerships between cultural resources, schools, businesses, professional and civic organizations and local government Other Imagination Celebration sites include: Seattle, Dallas, Fort Worth, Colorado Springs, and Orange County, Calif. Salt Lake's City's inaugural Imagination Celebration was part of the 2002 Olympic Winter Arts Festival.
